Abby Pollard
Abby Pollard is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
Abby utilizes a client centered approach to meet the needs of her clients across all stages of life with a special focus on teens and young adults. Abby works to provide a warm and inviting therapy setting that is centered around the client. She values the relationships between her and the clients, using her expertise to create change and offer insight.
Through various treatment interventions you will work on cultivation of a support system, self-care, coping skills and overall life balance.
Abby has experience treating individuals with depression, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, life transitions, spirituality and suicidal thinking. Through her time working in patient at advent health, Abby has become especially equipped to work with individuals in crisis and during some of the most challenging times in their life. Other areas of focus include family conflict, grief, women’s issues, codependency, and mood disorders.
She works to best meet the needs of her clients using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness techniques, and more. Abby has a strong passion for treating the “whole-person”. She strives for clients to experience a life of balance and wholeness.
When she is not in the clinic, Abby enjoys spending time friends, volunteering with her church community, reading, cooking, and taking her dog, Bear, on walks.
