Cameron Rozean
Cameron Rozean is currently completing his master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of Kansas. Prior to this, Cameron completed his BS in Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Kansas. Growing up in western Kansas, he is now beginning his “big city” adventure.
Cameron is extremely passionate about the process of Healing. Cameron’s approach to healing is deeply rooted in the belief that each individual is the foremost authority on their own narrative. With a profound respect for the personal nature of
healing, Cameron fosters a space of unconditional acceptance, encouraging individuals to explore their journey to recovery through a lens of compassion and self-awareness.
He uses a strengths-based, holistic strategy for healing, one that encompasses the physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of the self, ensuring that every facet of the individual is acknowledged and nurtured in the pursuit of wholeness.
Cameron has professional experience working with depression, anxiety, substance-use disorders, addictions, enhanced life stress, trauma, grief, and self-confidence as well as working with adults and children. Cameron also has experience working with people of diverse backgrounds and identities. Cameron has training in Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Cameron realizes that we live in a multi-cultural world, meaning that everyone that enters the therapeutic room has a unique story. Spirituality plays a dynamic and distinctive role in each person’s life ensuring that no two experiences are the same.
Understanding this, Cameron welcomes and invites any and all beliefs and practices. Cameron strives to create a room where an individual feels comfortable being fully and completely themselves. In his free time, Cameron loves to make music, whether it’s playing the piano or trying to play the guitar. He also enjoys cheering on his favorite sprots teams, whether it’s the Jayhawks or the Denver Broncos.
