Anne Mercer

Anne Mercer received her Master of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University focusing on Marriage, Couple, and Family counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and completed her internship at MNU Community Counseling Center, where she integrated faith and researched based theories. Anne meets clients where they are at theoretically while operating from an emotion-focused and integrated family system theory. Anne has spent 30 years in the hospital setting in the Maternal Newborn area. She spent eight years teaching nursing at the university level. This experience offers a unique and specialized view to those who work in the medical field as well as parents going through pregnancy, post-delivery trauma, postpartum transitions. Anne mainly works with individuals ages 20 and up and has experience in couple counseling. She works with a variety of concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, couples, burn out, and later life transitions. In the counseling room, Anne tries to create an environment that is warm and encouraging to her clients, knowing that the true change and growth is the responsibility and the accomplishment of the client’s hard work.

Anne is passionate about self-care and exploring different avenues to enhance self-care. In her free time, Anne spends time reading, biking, and poolside. Anne is married with two children and three grandchildren. Family is her true joy, bringing warmth and love as we pass our roots on.
