Emily Stier
Emily Stier received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College, with a certificate in trauma. Emily has diverse experience in private practice settings working with individuals, families, and couples who are experiencing relational conflict, life transitions, or mental health concerns.
Emily has extensive experience working with teens and young adults as they navigate changes in relationships and identity. She enjoys providing support and expertise from the mental health field on how to grow in healthy ways throughout this time.
She is also passionate about working with those who are experiencing anxiety and perfectionism. She utilizes gold standard techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients increase confidence and restfulness in their daily lives.
Emily has also gotten specialized training in the area of trauma. She helps clients make sense of their past and work towards freedom in the present with leading techniques, like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Emily’s other areas of specialization include eating disorders, faith integration/church hurt, and grief. She desires to create a warm and welcoming space for clients of all ages and experiences to find healing and growth.
