Mason Clegg
Mason Clegg, a dedicated and passionate counselor-in-training, has lived in Kansas
City his entire life. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Avila University, Mason brings a lifelong curiosity about the human mind and behavior to his practice. His interest in neuroscience and psychology is not only academic but deeply personal, influencing his understanding of how people think, feel, and interact with the world around them.
Mason views counseling as a collaborative journey, where clients possess the deepest insights into their own lives and choose the path they wish to take. His role is to support and encourage them throughout this journey, offering guidance and understanding. He works with all ages though is particularly drawn to working with individuals aged 13-24,
a group facing unique challenges and opportunities as they transition through critical stages of life. He is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where young people can explore their identities, build resilience, and work towards their personal and professional goals.
His counseling approach is holistic, recognizing the interconnectedness of mental, physical, and spiritual health. Mason believes that true well-being involves addressing all aspects of a person’s life and that therapy should be a space where all dimensions are explored and nurtured. He is especially interested in helping clients grow and strengthen their relationships, in addition to navigating issues related to anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Mason is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals and succeed in their personal journeys, fostering a mindset that encourages
resilience and achievement.
Mason is committed to professional growth and continuous learning. He keeps himself informed about the latest developments in the field of counseling through various resources and self-study, integrating new insights into his practice to provide effective, evidence-based care.
Beyond his professional interests, Mason enjoys a variety of personal activities. He loves coffee, outdoor adventures, and staying physically active. These interests not only contribute to his own well-being but also inform his holistic approach to counseling, emphasizing the importance of a balanced lifestyle.
Mason’s ultimate goal as a counselor is to empower his clients to realize their potential and lead fulfilling, authentic lives. He strives to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that respects each person’s unique journey.
